Schools out for the summer and it’s the perfect time to visit one of Florida’s State Parks for FREE! Palm Beach County Library system has partnered with the Florida State Parks. Florida has 175 state parks. The pass does not include access to camping or kayak rentals. Passes can be limited and vary from locations to location make sure to call the library for details. The pass needs to be returned back to the same location where you picked it up from.

Visit the library FIRST to get a free pass to Florida State Parks

In order to get in for free you need to visit one of the libraries in Palm Beach county and they will lend you a pass that is valid for 14 days. It is good for one vehicle with a maximum of 8 passengers. Access to the pass ends on September 22, 2022. For more information please visit the Florida State Parks website. Gas and food prices are sky rocketing, especially here in South Florida. A free pass to one of Florida’s State parks definitely helps with rising costs.

John D. MacArthur Beach State Park

My girls and I visited this state park in North Palm Beach and learned the hard way. You cannot get into the parks simply by showing them your library card (that’s what I did). In order to visit Florida’s State Parks for free you can definitely bet my family and I will be going to get a pass at our local library.

Pass Doesn’t Apply to All Florida State Parks

The free pass is invalid at the following parks: Ellie Schiller Homasassa Springs, Skyway Fishing Pier and Weekie Wachee Springs state parks, as well as any local municipal, county or federal parks.
