The best beach in Hobe Sound Florida is located at the Nathaniel P. Reed Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge. This place is a hidden gem. Once you walk down a flight of stairs on one of the sand dunes, you will reach a very private beach with white sugar sand. It’s one of my favorite beaches to take my two young kids too. When the tide is low, the waters are clear and shallow exposing the sea life.
Where is the Hobe Sound Nature Center located?
The best beach in Hobe Sound is located at 13640 SE Federal Hwy, Hobe Sound, FL 33455. The landscape is very different than the rest of south Florida. The beach at Nathaniel P. Reed Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge is located at the bottom of a sand dune that is covered in scrubs and sea-grapes.
Look at how beautiful this beach is. If you visit on a weekday you will more than likely be one of the only beachgoers. The photo above was taken on a Monday and as you can see there are only two other people. The seclusion of this beach makes it the best beach in Hobe Sound Florida.
Does Hobe Sound Florida have a beach?
Yes, Hobe Sound, Florida has a few beaches. There is a beach with ocean access located at Jupiter Island Beach Road and Hwy. A1A Hobe Sound, FL 33455. If you are looking for an uncrowded beach, I would suggest visiting the beach at the Hobe Sound Nature Center.
Is Hobe Sound Beach Free?
Yes, the beach located at the Hobe Sound Nature Center is free. Parking is limited to about 25 spots. If you are visiting on a weekend arrive early. The beach has restrooms and a shower.

Martin county has quite a few beaches located in Stuart, Jensen Beach, and Hobe Sound. One of the most unique beaches is in Hobe Sound along Hwy A1A.
Kid Friendly Beach In Martin County
What makes a beach kid friendly? I have two young daughters ages 3 and almost 5. It is important that the beach does not have strong currents, the water must be shallow and clear so that I can see what they are swimming with. Bathrooms are a plus along with a shower. Other important factors that make a beach kid friendly are: how long it takes to walk to the beach and if it has shaded areas.
